John Paul II's Beatification: full house

The beatification ceremony of of John Paul II scheduled the first of May 2011, will attract thousands of Italian and foreign tourists to the capital. Few weeks after the announcement, hotels, b&b and apartments in Rome have already registered a full house.

The Holy See has already said that the entrance to St. Peter's Square will be free and without reservation. So any forecast can be risky, however, there are those who foresee the arrival of one million pilgrims.

Because of the massive influx of tourists, due also to the presence of the concert in Piazza San Giovanni, tourists will go through a rise in prices from 100 to 300%.
